1077 Member Spotlight

In the Spotlight:    Vince Welch
   Chapter member, Terry Henry and his pal, Wayne Burkhart recently made the trip to Holmes County Airport to check on the progress of fellow Chapter 1077 member, Vince Welch, who is hard at work on his RV-8A. Vince has had very little help on his project, except drafting his wife Lillian, for those times when he needed more than two hands.    Vince reports that he is very close to being ready to mate the wings to the fuselage and hopes to maintain the tight schedule he has set after beginning construction about 5 years ago. He has installed an oxygen system, autopilot with altitude hold, GPS, and AOA. He hopes to be flying by early May. We can only hope that this project is just the first of many that Chapter members will undertake.

Vince holds degrees in Microprocessor Technology and Computer Systems and works for Dover Chemical as a Maintenance Manager. He is now a permanent resident in our county.
