FAA Safety Seminar 3/16/05
Our Chapter will be holding an FAA safety seminar in conjunction with Kent State Tuscawaras on Wednesday March 16th at 7:00 PM. This educational seminar will be held in the main campus Founder's Hall.
Topics to include the new Light Sport Pilot License and the prerequisites to obtain same. This entry level license does not require an FAA medical and it is hoped it will fuel new interest in recreational aviation due to the lower cost involved in obtaining a pilots license.
The second topic will cover Owner Preventative Maintenance. Indicating those items that an owner pilot may legally perform on his or her aircraft without a mechanics license. Both items are current hot topics and should draw a large crowd.
Shuttle Service will be available for pilots who chose to fly in to Harry Clever Field. Phone numbers to call will be posted in prominent locations on the airport ramp.
Coffee, Punch and Cookies will be provided. The seminar is free of charge and open to the public. Please invite anyone interested in recreational aviation to come join us for a very informative evening.
